Historical Time Traveller Stewart Cawood | Locals in Nature’s Heartland
The Locals series brings a human lens to Destination British Columbia’s (DBC) Iconic destination brands through intimate, story-driven content.
Chris Wheeler Media (CWM) filmed “Historical Time Traveller Stewart Cawood” for the Locals series in one of DBC’s Iconic destination brands named “Nature’s Heartland.”
The series highlights personal connections to the land and community. For each destination, primary personalities are featured in dedicated long-form videos, while additional local voices are shared through short-form video and image-based storytelling across owned channels. Together, these perspectives offer an authentic and nuanced portrayal of each region.
What’s it like to live in an 1800s Gold Rush town and portray a historical character? Meet Stewart Cawood from Nature’s Heartland in British Columbia. Living year-round in Barkerville Historic Town & Park near Wells, BC, Stewart steps into the role of a historical interpreter, bringing the past to life by playing the role of a real-life Gold Rush character. Stewart’s story is proof that living history and rugged adventures still shape this corner of Central BC. More of this story can be seen on DBC’s page.
