Producer: Chris Wheeler – Rider: O.G. – Music: AC/DC “It’s a Long Way to the Top”*

I joined my buddy O.G. and put some cameras on his bike and we went for a cruise on his favorite in-town riding circuit.

O.G. says ” Vancouver has it all: the ocean, beaches, mountains… an incredible riding experience right at your fingertips… or should I say throttle!

As exciting as it is to pick-up and venture worry-free into B.C.’s beautiful interior, over to Vancouver Island, or into Washington State, sometimes leaving town isn’t an option.  This is my favourite local loop:  I call it the Serenity-Now Circuit.   With every bend, I lose myself deeper into Vancouver’s mesmerizing beauty and let all life’s problems fade into the scenic background.

Kitsilano Beach – Catch a great view of the Vancouver skyline surrounded by the North-shore mountains

English Bay – Cruise through downtown Vancouver along the beach and check out the eclectic shops and restaurants along Denman Street

Stanley Park – Follow the causeway through Stanley Park and feel the fresh air and your burden lift as you leave Vancouver’s downtown core

Lions-Gate Bridge – Admire the vast Pacific Ocean to the West and great views of North Vancouver to the East from the crest of this majestic bridge

Low Road – Don’t let the maginificent views of the water distract you as you follow the shoreline and its engaging twisties

Horseshoe Bay – Enjoy great food and drinks in this picturesque neighbourhood and watch BC Ferries come and go

Cypress Mountain – Scrape your pegs on the twisties and sweepers along the road to the Cypress Lookout, where you can catch an amazing view of Downtown Vancouver and its surroundings

Deep Cove (if time permits) – Get your fix for speed along Hwy-1 from Cypress, take the exit for Dollarton Hwy, and go enjoy a refreshing drink in this serene neighbourhood

The bike I ride is a 2009 Yamaha Raider XV1900 w/ Reaper tips”

This video gives a small sample of riding these locations in Vancouver, BC. Another good motorcycle or driving circuit is the  Coast Mountain Circle Tour. Enjoy your ride!
